This Privacy Policy explains how CANDIE LLC, operating as Confection (“Confection,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information in connection with Confection websites, streaming services, applications, video series, submissions, events, newsletters, and related services. This policy is intended as a public website privacy policy and should be reviewed by counsel before publication.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through Confection websites, streaming services, applications, social pages we control, email communications, submission forms, interviews, events, and other services that link to this policy.
This policy also covers submissions to The Trade and related Confection programs, including videos, photographs, interviews, item descriptions, selected-trader verification, and trade logistics.
Some Confection activities may also be governed by additional terms, releases, or agreements, including The Trade Submission Terms, The Trade Media and Appearance Release, and any Selected-Trader Agreement. Those documents address participation, media rights, and trade obligations. This Privacy Policy addresses personal information.
2. Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
Depending on how you interact with Confection, we may collect:
Contact information, such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and business address.
Account information, such as username, password credentials, subscription status, profile information, and account preferences.
Submission information, such as trade offers, item descriptions, photographs, videos, links, general location, statements, and uploaded materials.
Media participation information, such as Zoom or in-person interviews, voice, image, likeness, statements, biographical details you provide, and general location.
Selected-trader information, such as legal name, delivery address, signature, shipping information, ownership or authorization records, titles, registration, provenance, certificates, or other documents needed to complete a selected exchange.
Communications information, such as emails, form responses, messages, support requests, and feedback.
Payment and subscription information, if Confection offers paid services. Payment card details are expected to be processed by payment providers rather than stored directly by Confection.
Newsletter and marketing preferences, such as email opt-in, unsubscribe status, and communication preferences.

Recording, producing, editing, distributing, promoting, and archiving Confection programs and related media when permitted by the applicable release or agreement.

Sending newsletters, marketing, and promotional communications when permitted, with the ability to unsubscribe from marketing emails.
Conducting polls, advisory voting, surveys, audience research, analytics, and performance measurement.

4. How We Share Personal Information

With service providers and contractors who help us operate the services, process submissions, host files, send emails, run analytics, process payments, conduct video calls, obtain signatures, manage shipping, produce media, or provide technical support.
With production personnel, editors, hosts, contractors, distributors, platforms, sponsors, promotional partners, and media partners when needed to produce, distribute, promote, or administer Confection programming and only as appropriate for the relevant activity.
With attorneys, accountants, insurers, appraisers, shippers, storage providers, escrow providers, and other professional advisers when needed for verification, legal review, accounting, tax, insurance, or exchange logistics.
With the public when you submit or provide materials that are published under a Media and Appearance Release or another applicable release or agreement.
With shipping carriers, delivery services, custodians, storage providers, or selected trade participants when needed to complete a selected exchange.
With law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other parties when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, security, safety, fraud prevention, enforcement of rights, or protection of others.
In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of a project, subject to appropriate protections when required.

5. The Trade Submissions and Media
When you submit to The Trade, we may collect your contact information, general location, item description, photographs, videos, links, ownership or authority confirmations, and related statements. If your offer advances, we may request a video interview, additional photographs or video, shipping and delivery details, proof of ownership or authority, or other documents needed to verify or complete the proposed exchange.
We do not ask general submitters to upload government ID, full addresses, financial records, title documents, or other sensitive documents through the general submission form unless Confection specifically requests them at a later stage.
If you sign or accept a Media and Appearance Release, Confection may use your submitted materials, interview, name or approved display name, voice, image, likeness, statements, and general location as described in that release. Full street addresses, private identification documents, financial records, and sensitive verification documents are not intended for public display unless separately authorized or legally required.
6. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising, and Similar Technologies
Confection may use cookies, pixels, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate the services, remember preferences, understand performance, improve user experience, measure campaigns, and support marketing or advertising where used.
You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled. If Confection uses tools that qualify as targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, sale, or sharing under applicable privacy law, Confection will provide any required notice and opt-out mechanism.

Unsubscribing from marketing messages does not stop necessary transactional or administrative messages.
8. How We Protect Information

For The Trade, sensitive verification documents should be stored separately from the general tracker and limited to people who need access, such as Confection leadership, counsel, accountants, or essential logistics personnel.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating Confection, producing and distributing media, administering submissions and trades, maintaining accounts, complying with legal, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and preserving archival production records.
Working retention guidelines for The Trade are:
Rejected submissions may be retained for a reasonable review, audit, or dispute period and then deleted or archived in reduced form.
Public finalists and completed trades may be retained for the life of the program and a reasonable legal, accounting, and archival period.
Signed releases, selected-trader agreements, condition records, shipping records, acceptance records, and valuation notes may be retained long term.
Sensitive identity or authorization documents should be deleted or restricted once the verification purpose is complete, unless counsel or accounting needs require longer retention.

Avoid including minors in The Trade submissions or interviews unless Confection has specifically approved the process and obtained any required permission.
13. International Users
Confection is based in the United States. If you submit information from outside the United States, your information may be processed, stored, and used in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. International submissions may require additional verification, customs, shipping, tax, or legal information.
